Being in the same room with others during treatment may also enhance the effectiveness of the treatment. Some call this the "qi of the community", and both practitioners and patients benefit from this synergistic healing effect. You will receive personalized care with complete respect for the privacy of your personal history. It is not “group acupuncture”. Each person comes at an appointed time, consults quietly with their practitioner, and then receives treatment.

Located within the Santa Cruz Integrative Medicine and Chi Center. We are currently offering in-house community acupuncture. We also travel to businesses and events and set up a community clinic on-site.
Community acupuncture treatments are performed in a low-lit and relaxing community room in zero gravity chairs or on tables. Your initial intake lasts from fifteen to thirty minutes, followed by an acupuncture treatment, using points mostly located on the arms, legs and back. After that, each intake is more of a "check-in" and you immediately start the treatment. Each session's resting time varies, based on your preference.
The community room is a place to come to receive acupuncture treatments to help you reclaim your health. You will close your eyes and perhaps doze off listening to the music or perhaps will go into a deep meditation.
